1. Your Own Colour Choice

We highly recommend the Farrow and Ball range of paint colours. Not only do these come in a wide array of authentic period colours that compliment the cast iron radiators, but they give a great finish. We list below the range of colours available to chose from, and you can see how extensive this range is. Bear in mind that your computer monitor setting and your printer will not give an exact portrayal of the colour, so we can supply colour cards on request. Or, if you want a card today, your local B&Q or Homebase will normally stock these.

In addition. we can match and paint any colour of your choice. All you need to do is supply the RAL, BS number, paint name or sample. RAL is the most popular European standard used.

We will then mix the paint to your chosen colour and then professionally spray paint your radiators. This is done prior to building the radiators to ensure an even coverage, including the internal facings.

If you wish to paint your radiators yourself, these will be supplied in black primer as standard, or white primer if requested. We would like to advise, however, that it does prove difficult to get an even coverage of paint to the central areas of a pre-built radiator.

There is no extra charge for painting.

2. Metallic Paint Finishes

The metallic finish is very popular, particularly the Natural Cast and Old Penny colours, as these are wonderful choices for that antique grey or antique copper look. The Antique Gold and Copper are also fine colour choices if you require a rich handsome colour to compliment your colour scheme or to give an opulent depth to your home.

To make sure your colour choice is exactly as you require, we are happy to supply a swatch sample of your preferred colour on request.

3. Antiqued Paint Effect

To complete the antique look of your radiator we have perfected the art of antique paint effects. This service is particularly effective on the decorative radiator styles; bringing out the beauty of the raised etched design by giving a darker tone to the background, replicating an aged patina on an original antique. The antique paint effect is available in the metallic Gold, Pewter and Copper. Please ask for details regarding this specialist service and we will discuss with you the colour options that accentuate the detail of your radiator to produce a wonderful aged look that is stunning.

For that truly dramatic and atmospheric result choose the highlight effect; a superb choice for a feature radiator in any room space.

Available in gold on black or pewter on black, this gives a great effect with all the detailed radiators within the range, enhancing every detail for a completely stunning look.

5. Hand Polished

The hand polished finish is a very specialised process completed with care in the workshop. Your heritage cast iron radiator is hand polished to produce a handsome, highly polished antique look.

This process accentuates the beautiful detail in the cast of the radiator, particularly for decorative radiators whereby each detail in the cast becomes highlighted. Hand polishing gives a magnificent look to a radiator and is perfect for those rooms requiring a centre piece radiator such as the hallway and reception rooms.
